Where we shop, where we eat and have fun – all of it makes our community home. Our one-of-a-kind businesses are an integral part of the distinctive character of this place. Our tourism businesses also benefit.
T. Fitz Johnson, a Marietta family man and Cobb county resident, is the Owner and Chairman of the Atlanta Beat Women’s Professional Soccer team. While many neighborhood businesses struggle to power through this recession, his positive attitude and captivating personality are creating a greater difference in this community.
In partnership with Kennesaw State University Foundation, Johnson supported the construction of the brand-new KSU Soccer Stadium located on George W. Busbee Parkway in Kennesaw, Ga. The venue not only attracts more Georgians to the West Cobb area, but it also promises a future full of entertainment at an affordable family value.
From a partnership standpoint, the Atlanta Beat helps local businesses gain exposure by utilizing stadium traffic as a platform to gain consistent consumer engagement. Local business partners include: WellStar, Pinnacle Orthopaedics, Embassy Suites Atlanta – Kennesaw Town Center, Ruth’s Chris, and many others.
As support grows for Johnson’s WPS franchise, several local magazines and newspapers have played a tremendous role in spreading the word about a team of talented young ladies who present themselves as valuable role models. It’s these off the field efforts that support the club’s grassroots marketing approach to building awareness and enhancing the community. Other marketing initiatives include increased social media interaction as a supplement to ongoing media coverage from local publications including: Marietta Daily Journal, Cobb In Focus, Our Town, and Cherokee Tribune.
KEEPING IT EASY: Although many residents in surrounding communities are unfamiliar with the team and the stadium, it only takes one memorable experience to fall in love with one of Cobb’s best kept secrets. Affordable pricing, FREE PARKING, kid-friendly activities, and 90 minutes of world-class action make KSU Soccer Stadium an immediate fan favorite!
